Brief Look at Our History

Soren McAdam LLP can be traced back to two different firms. Soren Ahern and Christenson was founded in 1979 in San Bernardino, California, and Ziilch, McAdam and Copeland dates back to 1950 in Redlands, California. The two firms merged in 1989 and have been providing exceptional client service to clients in the Inland Empire and beyond ever since.

Description of Our Firm Today

Soren McAdam LLP has one office located in Redlands, California. We have seven partners and near fifty total people serving start-ups to hundred-million-dollar companies. Although we primarily serve clients in the Inland Empire, we continue to serve many clients located throughout the western United States.

We are an independent member of the BDO Alliance USA, a nationwide association of independently owned local and regional accounting, consulting and service firms with similar client service goals. The BDO Alliance USA presents an opportunity for firms to expand services to clients without jeopardizing our existing relationships or our autonomy by accessing the resources of BDO USA, LLP and other Alliance members. The BDO Alliance USA was developed to provide Member firms with an alternative strategy for gaining competitive advantage in the face of a changing business landscape. The Alliance represents an opportunity for BDO to enhance relationships with reputable firms that share a mutual business understanding. The BDO Alliance USA is a subsidiary of BDO USA, LLP, a Delaware limited liability partnership.

Our People

We have always had and will continue to have great people. We recruit college graduates from all of the colleges and universities in the Inland Empire, and we have always prided ourselves in our ability to attract the best students. We try to grow our talented staff from entry-level professional staff members to partners in the firm. To keep up-to-date technically, we provide more than fifty hours of continuing professional education annually to each member of our professional staff. The topics of these classes include accounting and auditing, all areas of taxation, business management issues, interpersonal skills, fraud and professional ethics. Typically, the classes are specific to one of the industries in which we specialize, or one of the services we provide. Remaining current is critical if we are to provide you with the quality of service you deserve.

As a result of the talent of the people we hire, the continuing education we provide to them and the quality of the clients they work with, our staff is prepared to provide exceptional client service. Also, by emphasizing only a few industries, our staff members quickly become well-acquainted with the unique aspects of the accounting, auditing, tax, systems and management issues in those industries.
