Julia Cox, CPA
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPERTISE
Julia has more than 27 years of auditing, accounting, and consulting experience serving publicly and privately held companies in the manufacturing, distribution, service, and retail industries, as well as employee benefit plans, including over 14 years of experience with Ernst & Young LLP, both in the Inland Empire and Orange County. Julia has been with the firm since 2006. She specializes in financial reporting, accounting for complex transactions, inventory matters and revenue recognition. Julia has extensive experience in the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, including the creation of and implementation of SOX compliance programs, SEC registration statements, mergers and acquisitions, and the evaluation of internal controls.
Julia leads the firm’s SOX advisory and outsourcing solutions practice servicing multiple clients with their required management level documentation of internal control over financial reporting, conducting the annual required management level testing of the effectiveness of SOX controls, and interfacing with the clients’ external auditors to facilitate a smooth annual audit of the clients’ internal control over financial reporting.
Julia is the lead quality technical reviewer for all financial statement reports issued by the firm.

- Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, San Diego State University, 1991
- Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in California
- Ongoing continuing professional education with an emphasis in the areas of manufacturing, distribution, service and retail industries, as well as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act

PERSONAL
Julia is a super fan of equestrian vaulting (gymnastics on horseback!) and often travels to equestrian vaulting competitions. She has even traveled all the way to France for the 2014 World Equestrian Games to cheer on the Equestrian Vaulting USA Team. Julia volunteers with the American Vaulting Association, a nonprofit organization.
